MEN SENTENCED IN CONNECTION WITH PIRATED TV CHANNELS & STREAMING SERVICES

Padraig McVicker and Gary Doherty have been convicted in Belfast for running an illegal business which sold devices for streaming pirated TV channels, from September 2018 to January 2019.

The case was investigated by the Police Service of Northern Ireland and Sky. Both men admitted to multiple offences, including selling unauthorized decoders. Doherty was given 175 hours of community service, while McVicker was sentenced to eight months in jail, with additional sentences for owning equipment to dishonestly access electronic services.
